The four days of Chhath

A festival carried by devotion, preparation and community.

Whether this is your first Chhath or a tradition your family has carried for generations, there is a place for you at the ghat.

01

Nahay Khay

Purification and a simple beginning.

02

Kharna

Fasting, prayer and the evening offering.

03

Sandhya Arghya

Offerings to the setting sun at the ghat.

04

Usha Arghya

The morning welcome to the rising sun.

A community effort

We build the ghat together.

Chhath Houston is organized by families, volunteers, donors and local partners who believe a public celebration should feel generous, welcoming and beautifully cared for. Every registration helps us plan food, prasad, safety and space at the water.

Come as you are

Bring your family, your offerings and your helping hands.

Volunteers can help with setup, food, parking, cleanup, cultural programming and welcoming families to the ghat.
